Breeders Choice is owned and operated by Robin McKeithan, who has over 20 years experience in all-breed dog and cat grooming, show grooming and professional dog handling. We have been in business at the same location for over 20 years. We have a small staff so we get to know each of our four-legged clients individually; this allows us to offer better care for each of their individual special needs.

At Breeders Choice we provide exceptional quality workmanship along with top quality grooming products. Each pet receives a custom haircut and style. We take into consideration the hair coat type, body, and texture, along with the client's lifestyle and preferences. From elegant breed standards to frou-frou or Mr. Macho, we strive for customer satisfaction.

In designing your pet's custom grooming, we use products designed for their individual coat and skin needs: hot oil treatments, oatmeal and medicated baths, coat reconstructors, flea treatments and more. After bathing each pet is fluff-dried and scissored by hand. We pay close attention to the health care needs of the skin, ears, nails and glands. Each pet will have its ear canals cleaned, ear hair will be removed, and glands will be emptied. Pets will have their toenails cut; nail grinding is offered as an optional extra service.

In addition, we offer a de-shedding option. Each pet is hand washed in a de-shedding shampoo, and then hand stripped of undercoat and loose hair. This will greatly reduce unwanted hair all over your furniture & carpet. The difference will be seen right away.

We don't use dog washing systems that re-use the same water over and over; each pet is washed by hand in fresh clean water. Pets are not allowed to stand in dirty rinse water.

Grooming is by appointment. Clients drop off their pets at the appointed time and they begin their day at the "Spa". We call clients as soon as their pets are ready to go home. We also offer early morning drop off starting at 6:30 A.M. for the convenience of our working customers. Pets may be dropped off on the customer's way to work and picked up on the customer's way home.

We open as early as 6:30am depending on the day of the week. We close at 6:00pm daily except on Friday. All grooming and baths are by appointment only. You must call for an appointment as appointments will not be accepted via e-mail.
