Robin has over 25 years grooming experience and has also worked as a Veterinarian Technician.

She completed her apprenticeship under a Licensed Professional Handler in accordance with the requirements of the Professional Handlers Association for all breed grooming and dog handling. She received training on working breeds, non-sporting breeds, toy breeds and hound breeds.

She received additional training under two of the top herding breed professional show handlers in the United States, learning about herding breeds and developing show grooming and dog handling experience.

Robin continues her education from some of the top show judges such as Dennis McCoy, who judged Madison Square Garden in 2013, and from two of the top all breed groomers/handlers in the country on updated styles and cut and technique. She continually updates her knowledge about the latest safety equipment for pets.

Robin has spent over 25 Years in animal rescue work, working with mixed breeds and purebred dogs. This has included bottle feeding litters of unwanted pups and rehabilitating abused animals, as well as finding homes for unwanted animals. She continues to support animal rescue groups.

Robin has bred four AKC Champion Shetland Sheepdogs. She has handled a variety of dogs professionally, including Shetland Sheepdogs, Collies, Beagles, Pekingese, Huskies, Great Danes, Mastiffs, Toy Poodles, and occasionally other breeds.

Robin has served on the Raleigh Kennel Club board of directors, in addition to holding the offices of Secretary and Program Chairman. She has received numerous awards from the Club, including the Sumi Watkins "Outstanding Service to Dogs" award, the highest award which the club presents.
